Blazing Through Challenges: How Small Businesses are Navigating the Summer Economy

How are U.S. Small Businesses dealing with the heat? A hot economy keeps business owners seeking shade as small businesses in the U.S. face a mixed economic environment. Optimism is reflected in the US Chamber of Commerce Small Business Index rising to 69.5, with 73%. However, persistent inflation remains a significant challenge for 55% of businesses, coupled with ongoing worker shortages, insurance costs, and wage inflation.

According to the Small Business Administration (SBA), there are approximately 33.5 million small businesses in the United States, constituting 99.9% of all U.S. businesses. These small businesses create two-thirds of all new jobs and 45% of the U.S. economic activity.
