Between 2007 and 2018, women-owned businesses grew by 58 percent, making them one of the fastest growing segments of the U.S. economy. Four out of every ten businesses in the United States (40%) is women-owned. According to the Women’s Business Enterprise Council each day more than 1,820 small businesses are started by women.


Experian examined three years of credit history for more than 3 million women-owned firms to see how they establish and manage their credit compared to their male business owner counterparts.
