PowerScore-API / Service Mesh (APAC)

PowerScore-API / Service Mesh

Region: APAC
Project summary: We need to have visibility into a person’s creditworthiness to evaluate debt repayment probability. This in turn can help with decisions to offer credit, loan size and affordable interest rates, balanced with the applicant’s immediate need to fulfill. Ideally the score can also help with future lending decisions to avoid debt traps. The API framework has prebuilt connectivity to Experian’s API, such as bureau API as well as data partners API, integrated into Experian’s ecosystem. This framework will benefit both the data partners and financial institutions (FIs). FIs only need to perform a one-time API integration with Experian to access the broad range of subscription services Experian has to offer. They also have the option to choose between Score as a Service or Model as a Service, depending on the business requirements. This can strengthen Experian’s market proposition and as an industry leader in the credit space. Due to the expanded services to FIs, data partners will likely see an increase in transaction volume, enjoying higher returns on their data.

Objective Prism (UK&I)

Objective Prism

Region: UK&I
Project summary: Today we see around 30% of people searching for credit cards or loans on Experian UK Consumer Marketplace getting no or low chances of approval. Our hypothesis is that many of these people would be able to get higher chances of approval for credit if the lenders could use more information. Specifically, marginal declines based on risk assessment and those with little history (thin file). There’s potentially an opportunity to use open banking data, and we’re aware of others in the market doing this. We need to understand where and

Ascend SG UXA (APAC)

Ascend SG UXA

Region:  APAC
Project summary:
Data extraction and ingestion from on-premises databases to Ascend Analytical Sandbox™ in the cloud is manual, effort intensive, time consuming and error prone. It diminishes data freshness, which is critical for analytical work quality. Tapping into Experian’s in-house data pipeline solution, Aperture Data Studio, as well as UXA platform capabilities, we can create automation scripts, which take care of data extraction, ingestion and even verification. Users would receive an email notification once the entire process is completed with statistics and comparison to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Alchemy (NA)

Alchemy

 Region: NA
Project summary: Experian needs to migrate Decisioning as a Service℠ clients to Experian One as part of our off mainframe/technology modernization plan. Over 50 of these clients use NetConnect (XML call) to reach their legacy decisioning solutions. Presently, to make use of Experian One, they need to recode their calling systems to use JSON. In many cases, this can’t be done quickly nor do clients have incentive to do so. This represents a significant risk to our migration plans, so a frictionless solution is needed to minimize client-side changes. We propose to create a seamless conversion service that will allow for backward compatibility from XML to Experian One JSON.

We use over 250 traces that users leave on the web/apps to generate signals and reveal their picture in order to cover potential “no hits” with a predictive model based on alternative data. We designed the solution using existing capabilities, and data samples were analyzed to confirm the predictability.

EValue – Ascend Net Zero (UK&I)

EValue – Ascend Net Zero

Region: UK&I
Project summary:
We want to enable UK consumers to transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy products by helping public sector remove barriers that stand in the way of consumer adoption (lack of infrastructure, cost, anxiety and so on). We propose a new module in AIS that enables accurately predicting future consumer demand for green products (like electric vehicles) for each UK postal code. This enables government and utility companies to prepare the relevant infrastructure (e.g., EV charging points) in advance to seamlessly drive the transition to a sustainable future.
